Dr. StrangeDive: How I Learned to Stop Worrying (about Sharks) and Love Scuba in Central America!

The following post is contributed by none other than my wonderful boyfriend, Mac. It’s been a while in the making, but we hope it adds some new flavour to the blog roll!

Greetings, True Believers!

As you can already tell by the title and greeting of this post, this is not your usual author (Tracey) you have grown to know and love. Bear with me as I attempt to find my blog “voice”. Trust me, it […]

Beach Days

San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua
After we had recovered from the stomach bug that sidelined us for our first few days in San Juan del Sur, we were finally feeling well enough to get out and explore the area a bit. The town of San Juan del Sur is quite the happening place. There are tonnes of bars & restaurants located right on the beach, but the beach itself isn’t the greatest. One of the hostels […]

The Highs & Lows of San Juan

San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua
After our adventures on Ometepe, Mac & I headed to the beach town of San Juan del Sur. With many bars & restaurants and hoards of hotels & hostels that cater to the young crowd, this town has gotten quite the reputation as a party town. It’s famous “Sunday Funday” shuttles eager party-goers to three separate hostels (each equipped with a pool!) to let loose & get wild. Each participant also […]

Water Excusrsions on Isla de Ometepe

Isla de Ometepe, Nicaragua
Our volcano hike left us extremely sore for days. I guess that’s what happens when you do more consecutive exercise in one day than you have in the previous 6 weeks. Once we finally regained the ability to walk (I’m only slightly exaggerating…) Mac and I decided it would be a good idea to try and explore a bit of the rest of the island.
Ojo de Agua
Meaning “The Eye of the Water”, […]
